In the hockey NHL, Eeli Tolvanen had a three-point night in Seattle’s 4–0 win over Anaheim. A total of 12 Finns collected power points in a lively round.
Finnish striker Eeli Tolvanen scored Seattle’s winning goal even before halftime of the opening game, when the home team beat Anaheim in the NHL. Tolvanen tapped in a 1–0 shot from in front of the goal, when the chain mate Matthew Beniers found the winger with a precise pass from behind the goal. Seattle finally marched to a clear 4–0 victory.
The goal was Tolvane’s sixteenth of the season. The forward’s strong night continued with two more assists. In the second set, Tolvanen’s pass from the wing was finally bounced by the Danish striker For Oliver Björkstrandwho scored his 19th goal of the season.
Ten minutes later, Tolvanen and Beniers scored a handsome 4–0 goal. Seattle seized the puck in the central area and turned the game lightning fast into a counterattack, where Beniers gave a cross pass to Tolvase, who quickly passed the game tool back to the center forward.
Beniers finished the pattern with a hard shot and enjoyed his 11th goal of the season. Like Tolvanen, the 21-year-old center forward finished with 1+2 power points in the match. The duo played in the home team’s first team together with Björkstrand.
The last time Tolvanen managed to score three power points in one game was on November 22nd against San Jose. In his 253-game NHL career, the forward has succeeded in the trick four times now.
He had scored just three points in his previous ten games and Seattle had lost their previous eight contests. The team has already fallen 15 points behind the Vegas Golden Knights, who are eighth in the Western Conference.
The Finns worked hard to score points
