Many changes await Edvin Anger for the new season.
To be able to take the next level in his career and become a top sprinter.
The successful Swedish skier has made a decisive decision with his Norwegian girlfriend Emma.
It has gone fast too Edwin Anger to break through on the big stage in cross-country skiing. A year and a half ago, he stepped into his very first season as a senior at the World Cup and immediately impressed.
Anger’s success
Anger was responsible for a real successful winter straight away and lined up finals in the sprint races. But then he never managed to reach a podium place and had to settle for a bunch of fourth places.

Last ski season, he finally got to celebrate a top three finish. The 22-year-old managed to reach two podium places in the last season, a second place at the Tour de Ski and a third place in Canmore, Canada.
– The two podium places that I took mean a lot; standing on the podium in the World Cup is something I could only dream of when I was watching the World Cup racers on TV. And I was the only male skater to take two podium places in the World Cup this winter. But as a whole, I’m not happy with the season. It is clear that you always want more, but it felt like there was a little too much pole out in the sprints for me to be satisfied. Then I didn’t really have the surplus needed to really fight. But I have a good foundation to build on, and for the coming winters I will be able to let up on the training a little more and compete a little less, says Anger in an interview with klånd.se.
Love decision
Now until the next ski season this winter, big changes await the young Swede. Anger and the Norwegian girlfriend Emma Axelsson are going to move in together and live in Östersund, it will be the first time that Edvin leaves his beloved Hedemora.
– Home and Hedemora are always there. But it feels good to get something of your own together with the girl. I hope it will give a lift to be able to lighten the wings and fly away to Östersund, says Anger.

In addition, Edvin Anger breaks free and leaves his ski brand Madshus, which he has always skied, and switches to Rossignol. With completely new skis, it will be a big change for the Swedish sprint specialist.
– I usually have 40-50 pairs when I enter a season. Now maybe my park will not be maxed out from the start of the season. This will be built up before and during the season. The goal is for everything to be in place for the WC. After all, it’s not about how many pairs you have, but having some really, really good pairs, he tells the ski site and admits that it will be a lot of work to ride in his new skis.
– It’s a lot of work, absolutely. And for my part, there will perhaps be an extra turn to the ski tunnel in Torsby. But I have varsity in the A team who do a fantastic job for me. They have been in Sognefjell and tested intensively to find a basis for now in the first stage skate skis.
