The quarterback of the Finnish men’s national basketball team Edon Maxhuni moves to Strasbourg, which plays in French Pro A. Maxhuni, who played for Le Portel in the same league last season, has signed a two-year contract with Strasbourg.
Maxhuni surprisingly led Le Portel all the way to the Pro A quarterfinals last season.
– Now I got such a good offer that I had to take it. Next season, the main goal with Strasbourg is to get back to the playoffs and establish a position there, Maxhuni said.
– Pro A is now the most familiar series of the year. The way the league is played, the players and the teams are already familiar and I can continue directly from where I left off last season, said Maxhuni.
