When you pre-order an edition of Starfield, in addition to the game, you will also receive a laser cutter, a deep-mine helmet, and a deep-mine backpack as a pre-order bonus. The offer applies to every edition.
Standard Edition – €69.99 / €79.99
This is in the standard edition: The Standard Edition of Starfield contains only the main game and comes with no additional content. It is only available digitally for Xbox Series X|S and PC and is also included in Game Pass.

Premium Edition – €109.99
This is in the Premium Edition: With the Premium Edition you get up to 5 days early access, with which you can play Starfield from September 1st. On top of that, the first story addon, which will be released at a later date, is included with “Shattered Space”.
You can either buy the Premium Edition digitally and then receive the additional content including the main game, or you can upgrade from the Standard Edition to the Premium Edition. In this case, you get the additional content without the main game, which then has to be purchased separately.
The premium edition upgrade is available both digitally and physically, although the content of the editions may differ. The physical version includes a Steelbook display and the Constellation patch from participating retailers.

Constellation Collector’s Edition – €299.99
This is in the Constellation Edition: The Constellation Edition is Starfield’s Collector’s Edition. It is only available physically and includes the main game as a download.
In addition to the contents of the Premium Edition, there is also a laser-engraved stick and the Starfield Chronomark watch including a box. The clock and the box are based on items that you get in the game itself.

According to Todd Howard, Game Director and Executive Producer for Bethesda Game Studios, the Starfield watch should be able to connect to your smartphone and display notifications. However, the watch does not transmit calls, does not support cell phone services and does not have a touchscreen.

For whom is which edition ideal? Ultimately, you have to decide which version of the game best suits your needs. If you’re a collector, the Constellation Edition with the Starfield watch and box is probably the right choice.
If you want the game with some bonuses as well as early access, then the premium edition might be worth checking out. However, if you are only interested in the game, the Standard Edition is ideal.
