EDDY MITCHELL. Composer Pierre Papadiamandis died at 85. He had created nearly 200 songs for Eddy Mitchell, including “Water Mint Color” or “The Last Session”.

Born in 1937 in Paris and of Gresque origin, Pierre Papadiamandis had also collaborated with other French or international artists, such as Ray Charles, Michel Delpech or Céline Dion. He had been Eddy Mitchell’s traveling companion since 1964, when the latter was looking for a pianist for his orchestra, after his departure from the group that had launched him, the Black Socks.

“Pierre, he’s my brother, summarized Eddy. His wife, Anouk, is godmother to my eldest daughter, Maryline. We always helped each other in difficult times, like my divorce. We never had a shouting match. (…) I never considered an album without him (…). Without Pierre, I would never have made this career”, confided the rocker to the Parisian.
