(Finance) – The world of Green Economy reunited for the 26th edition of Ecomondothe Italian Exhibition Group show dedicated tocircular economy. The appointment is starting tomorrow, in the Rimini exhibition center. With over 1,500 exhibiting brands (+10% compared to 2022), more than 30 delegations – around 280 representatives of industrial associations, government bodies, clusters, chambers of commerce, institutional representatives from North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Europe and Eastern Europe -, and 350 confirmed hosted buyers, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the ICE Agency, together with the regional advisors of IEG. The demonstration will bring technological innovations from the different worlds of the green economy to the fair. With high-level insights into the rich program of events: 230 national and international events, 75 of which were organized by the Scientific Technical Committee, directed by Professor Fabio Fava of the University of Bologna. This afternoon a press preview was held for some of the most important media from Egypt, Central Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. A great opportunity for visibility also for the territory, thanks to the sounding board that Ecomondo boasts throughout the Mediterranean basin.

Following this, work will begin on the 12th edition of the States General of the Green Economy, promoted by the National Council of the Green Economy, and this year dedicated to the economy of tomorrow, decarbonised, circular and regenerative. Furthermore, with 123 gigawatts of new renewables by 2030 there would be 430 thousand new jobs, circularity in waste would bring 97 thousand new jobs and an investment in the restoration of ecosystems of 261 million euros would generate an added value 10 times higher.
The 2023 edition of Ecomondo will be divided into six thematic macro areas – Wasteas Resource, Sites & Soil Restoration, Circular & Regenerative Bio-economy, Bio-Energy & Agroecology, Water Cycle & Blue Economy, Environmental Monitoring & Control -, and four new exhibition districts dedicated to textiles, paper, innovation, with the area for start-ups, the green jobs & skills desk, the large space dedicated to the blue economy, in collaboration with Utilitalia. It’s still GREETINGS., the biennial show in partnership with ANFIA, which will host the main manufacturers of vehicles for ecological waste and garbage collection and disposal services, with electric propulsion and an area for test drives.
