Dutch Eurovision representative Joost Klein will not participate in the Eurovision final, says the European Broadcasting Union EBU in a press release.

According to Ebu’s press release, the Swedish police are investigating the incident that happened after the Eurovision semi-final on Thursday.

– It would not be appropriate for him to participate in the competition while the legal process progresses, the EBU press release says.

According to the EBU, Eurovision has zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior, and Joost Klein’s behavior has violated the rules of the competition.

So 25 countries will participate in the Eurovision final, while originally there were supposed to be 26 countries in the final.

On Friday evening, information became public, according to which some kind of incident took place after the 2nd semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, in which Joost Klein was involved.

Swedish public broadcasting company SVT said on Saturday morning that the Swedish police are investigating an illegal threat related to Eurovision.

– One man is suspected of making an illegal threat. The suspected crime took place at Malmö Arena on Thursday evening, says the Malmö police spokesperson Pelle Vamstad.

The man has not been arrested. The Malmö police have not said whether it is a Dutch visa representative Joost Klein.
