The Christian Democrats’ party leader Ebba Busch goes on a hard attack against Magdalena Andersson after yesterday’s party leader debate, where the S member Jamal El-Haj ended up in the center.
The deputy prime minister calls the S leader’s actions “undignified” and calls on Andersson to “keep clean” of anti-Semitism in his party.
– My advice to Magdalena Andersson is that she should call Jimmie Åkesson. He has experience excluding people with questionable views, says Busch.
Wednesday’s EU political party leader debate in the Riksdag was about something completely different from the European Union.
When Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) said that there is a “terror romance” in parts of the Social Democrats, Magdalena Andersson responded by mentioning that S-member Jamal El-Haj recently lost part of his family in the war.
Behind Magdalena Andersson in the chamber sat Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch (KD). As Andersson spoke, Busch shook his head.
Now she goes on a hard attack against the S leader.
– I mourn with everyone who has lost relatives, relatives, in this horrific war. But to answer the country’s prime minister to a well-founded question by talking about the grief of relatives who have been lost is undignified, says Ebba Busch.
Busch also questions Andersson’s earlier statement that El-Haj devoted his life to fighting Hamas.
– So El-Haj is on timeout and yet he works in the Riksdag and asks questions to the foreign minister. Now is the greatest opportunity ever to fight Hamas. Where is his fighting? To me, that’s an absolutely hair-raising statement.
– That someone has lost relatives is not the same as answering why you have a Member of Parliament who has connections with Hamas.
The KD leader also calls on Magdalena Andersson to act to remove anti-Semitism, which Ebba Busch believes S is dragged into the party.
– Previous social democratic leaders have done it. Göran Persson has engaged in self-criticism, Stefan Löfven has engaged in self-criticism, the right-wing engages in self-criticism. We have been super critical of SD.
– My advice to Magdalena Andersson is that she should call Jimmie Åkesson. He has experience excluding people with questionable views.
