Ebba Årsjö has been incredibly successful in the past year.
At the Sports Gala recently, she also showed off her new love.
– He tries to remain quite anonymous so far, she says in an interview with Sportbibeln.
The last year has been absolutely incomparable for young people Ebba Årsjö. In just over 12 months, the 22-year-old has won as much as six golds in the Para World Championships and 2 golds in the Paralympics.
Årsjö’s success
The alpine skier was born with Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome, which means her right leg has not been able to form muscles as well as her left leg. Therefore, she has had to fight hard for success and now all the hard work is really starting to pay off in gold medals.

When Ebba was growing up, her role models were names like Frida Hansdotter, Jens Byggmark, André Myhrer and Lindsey Vonn. But now she herself has become a role model and inspiration for young skiers, largely thanks to the fact that she herself is so open about her difficulties.
– It is something that drives me very much. It’s so much bigger than just going down a hill. To see and hear from people who contact me and send pictures of themselves. It feels incredibly good. I had no one to look up to that way. And if I can be that person for others, that’s only good, says Årsjö in an interview with Sportbibeln.
Do you feel any pressure from being a role model?
– Well, God no. It’s just an extra big plus for me, she replies.

New love
With the great success of the past year, Ebba Årsjö’s life has changed completely. In step with the successes in para-sport and the award Victoria prize, the Swede’s brand has grown tremendously.
– Life has been turned upside down. Both athletically and personally, I have started working with Instagram and agents. I can live on this now. And I am very grateful for that, to be able to invest wholeheartedly in sports, she says in the interview.

What about all the fuss and media appearances?
– I’ve started to get used to it, it’s fun. I’m thinking it’s not for me really. It is partly for myself, but I can also do something good by accepting things.

Recently at the Sports Gala, Ebba Årsjö also appeared with her new love. Both were captured on film, but the 22-year-old is tight-lipped about the so far short relationship with the new boyfriend.
– He is trying to remain fairly anonymous so far. But he just thinks it’s fun with everything. It’s only a few months old, actually, she says, but doesn’t want to reveal any names yet.
– We haven’t talked about it that much.
