Ebba Andersson’s unexpected decision about the Tour de Ski – now does the opposite

Ebba Andersson had large parts of last year destroyed.
Now she will do everything to take revenge next winter.
Therefore, Ebba chooses to do exactly the opposite of all the other skiers.

It was at the end of December last year that Ebba Andersson fell ill with covid and had half the ski season ruined. Then she was forced to break the Tour de Ski after only a few stages and was completely devastated.

Ebba’s tough setback

After that covid hit, the rest of the season suffered and Andersson found it difficult to get back to top form again. Full of lessons learned, the 27-year-old will go into the coming season that much stronger and take a big revenge for last year.

The winter will also be extremely important as the ski WC in Trondheim 2025 awaits and Ebba Andersson has two WC golds to defend from Planica in 2023. She also has her plan clear for the coming season.
– I will compete at a level so that I feel it gives more than it costs. So I will prioritize away some competition weekends in the World Cup, she admits to Expressen.
– For example, I don’t go down to Davos before Christmas.

Andersson’s decision

Many of the World Cup skiers will be standing over races to get as good a recharge as possible before the World Ski Championships. Where the Tour de Ski will lose a lot of star shine when many stay at home to train over Christmas and New Year instead.

But now Ebba does the opposite to the rest of the world’s elite and reveals that she will do everything to ride the Tour de Ski this year.
– It was something I already felt after I went home last time. Sitting at home, licking my wounds and watching the races from the TV couch. That I wanted revenge: “Damn, this is not how I and the Tour de Ski are supposed to be. With me at home on a couch,” she says to the evening newspaper.
