Ebba Andersson comes to the World Cup premiere in Finnish Ruka in good shape after the fine Swedish premiere in Bruksvallarna. Andersson has so far secured 24 individual podium places in the World Cup context, including one victory, but for the upcoming season she is aiming higher.

Ebba Andersson will compete in the distance races that take place on Saturday and Sunday, and she does not hide that it is at the top of the podium that she wants to stand.

Last spring, Kalla put her skiing career on the shelf, and Ebba Andersson now reveals the loss of the Swedish icon.

“A Void”
Andersson believes that Charlotte Kalla is sorely missed both in the national team and in Piteå Elite.
– It is still a void that she has left behind. She is missed both in Piteå and in the national team, she has really taken a place in both groups and it feels like she is not included, she says.

The loss is even so great that Andersson picked up the phone and called Kalla after the competitions the previous weekend.
– I actually spoke to her this week, because I missed her so much after the competitions in Bruksvallarna.
