Ebba Andersson’s open-hearted words about the dream season – and the beautiful response from the Swedish people: “You are so…”

What a season it has been for Ebba Andersson.
The 25-year-old has certainly exceeded all expectations.
Now she herself opens up about the great success and wants to send a huge thank you to the Swedish people.

For several years, Ebba Andersson established herself in skiing’s world top, but she has been missing that real dream season where everything is right for a long time. When both Therese Johaug and Charlotte Kalla chose to end their careers last year, a golden opportunity was opened for a new queen on the throne.

Ebba’s big hit

Expectations were therefore even higher for Andersson to take that last step up into the absolute top of cross-country skiing. A year later, we can really rejoice with Ebba who really took the chance and hit the big mark.

The 25-year-old made a big impression at the World Cup during the year, even though she was also affected by covid-19 during the winter. But it would be the 2023 World Ski Championships in Planica that would turn this season from good to great.

This weekend she ended the ski season completely by winning the last race in Bruksvallarna. Now she can finally sum up this matchless year and she does it by addressing the Swedish people and showing her great gratitude with open-hearted words, see the post below.
“A proper baby hug to every single one of you who has been part of a very fantastic season! Thank you for gilding so many and sharing this winter with me! The occasional kiss break during the journey has been, to say the least…”, she writes in an emotional and joyful post on Instagram.
