Ebba Andersson did what she used to do. To win. The Swede was superior in the 10 kilometer classic when the World Cup season started in Ruka, Finland.
Linn Svahn stood for a fine performance and led for a long time. Frida Karlsson, who finished fourth in Friday’s sprint, also gave positive signals.
But the strongest was Ebba Andersson.
Andersson, who was not in the sprint, started the race aggressively and went for the knock straight away. But in the end it was dramatic and with two kilometers to go the victory was between her and the American Rosie Brennan. But the 26-year-old Swedish skiing star finished strongly to win, five seconds ahead of Brennan, who finished second.
