Ebba Andersson and her boyfriend Gustaf Berglund have been together for more than three years.
Now they have taken a big step in the relationship and become homeowners. They have bought a property on Frösön outside Östersund.
– Of course it feels like a small milestone, it does, she tells Sportbibeln.
She agrees to call it a “new chapter in life”. For Ebba Andersson27, has done something she has never done before. Together with the boyfriend Gustaf Berglund26, she has bought her very own house.
– It is great to be a home owner, she tells Sportbibeln.
Betting on the Tour de Ski
Soon it will be time for a new ski season and Ebba Andersson is of course very busy with this somewhat different championship winter. At the turn of February-March, there are the WC in Trondheim, which all skaters naturally look forward to and adjust their training accordingly.
– The basic mentality when it comes to training is the same, but then you always try to find things to screw up and improve. What works, you continue with, and what doesn’t really have an effect, you try to weed out and instead make room for a few other things, she says about the summer’s training schedule.

The focus will be on the WC 2025, but at the same time Ebba also wants to invest wholeheartedly in the Tour de Ski, where she has a good chance of going far. Especially given that the competition is said to be worse this year as several riders skip the “Tour” due to the WC.
– The World Cup is what I have primarily aimed at. But the road ahead means the Tour de Ski for me this year. It is part of my preliminary A-plan. But then it also means that when I make room for the Tour de Ski, I have to remove something else. So I will still choose to stand over some specific World Cup weekends to also be able to get in some blocks of training between all the competing. I think that will be needed to be in top shape for the WC.
“The whole becomes more harmonious”
When Ebba is not training to hone her form in time for the World Cup premiere in Ruka on the last weekend in November, she spends time with her boyfriend of three years, Gustaf Berglund, also a skier. They have recently bought a house on Frösön just outside Östersund.
– Now Gustaf and I have mostly lived together for a few years, but this is our first time together. It was something we moved into together. Of course it feels like a small milestone, it does, she says of the new life.

She has already noticed that everyday life in a villa is a little different compared to when she lived in an apartment in town. There is more to think about, which sometimes makes it a little extra complicated because both she and Gustaf are away quite often at various training camps and competitions.
– There are a lot of balls to manage to keep in the air at the same time. Just here last week there was a sweeper and a painter who were supposed to arrive at roughly the exact same time. I’m not used to that. It’s nothing that you had to think about when you lived in an apartment, she says and continues:
– There is more responsibility with owning a house, but there is also much more freedom and much more space. The overall picture becomes more harmonious, I can feel it.
Big congratulations on the house purchase and the new life in the villa, Ebba. It will go well no matter what.
Good luck with next season. Many of us are keeping our fingers crossed that you and your Swedish national team colleagues will perform at their best, especially at the WC.
