Ebba Andersson was one of the selected athletes who shared their secrets on how to manage their nerves.
– I usually try to focus on my actions. Not first and foremost what is to happen in the competition situation but rather the preparation there. Because that’s when the nervousness is at its highest, once the competition is underway, it has settled, she tells DN.
Andersson’s preparation for the World Cup
She says she likes to plan and be prepared for what is to come. This is when she feels that she has control and can perform at the top.
– It could be things like: When should I get up? How should my bag be packed? What do the plans look like for my morning jog, when will I go out on it and when will I have breakfast? And what will the heating look like?, She says.

In other words, we can trust that Ebba Andersson will be well prepared when she comes to the World Cup plant in Trondheim.
– I want a clear plan and focus on implementing those things, that’s when all disturbing thoughts and feelings are put aside, she says.
