Ski star Ebba Andersson’s guest play in the Långloppscupen this weekend was a success with double wins.
Afterwards, she praised the total winner Anniken Gjerde Alnäs, who was hit by a car last summer.

After winning Saturday’s Reistadløpet struck Ebba Andersson For a new victory when she took home the season finale of Ski Classics in Norway. The Swede won the 60 kilometer long race between Bardufoss and Finns before Stina Nilsson.
Andersson’s success
Ebba Andersson-who earlier last winter took three World Cup golds in traditional skiing-put the decisive jerk on the last hill.
She listened to the teammate Anniken made Alnäswho fought a struggle for the overall victory with the compatriot Emilie Fleten.
– When we went into the hill I got some directives from Anniken, as long as you stay before Emilie, just go for it, Andersson tells SVT and continues:
– I thought I would keep a pace that I felt I mastered. I knew the hill was long, but that it would be so long I had no control.

It was enough for victory. Although Stina Nilsson picked up around a minute in the last downhill skiing, she was ten seconds after Andersson in goal.
Ebba’s warming word
Emilie Fleten finished third, but Anniken Gjerde Alnäs took home the overall victory through her fourth place.
– Incredibly big, especially if you think about the journey she has towards this season. Then it is even more impressive. I myself know what it is like to go through a knee rehabilitation, says Ebba Andersson.

Gjerde Alnäs seriously injured her knee after being hit by a car during a pass on roller skis last summer.
– I thought the career was over. That it would be like this I had never dreamed of, the Norwegian tells NRK.
Nilsson became a total
She was emotional when she was interviewed.
– This means everything. It has been a senseless year after the injury, says Anniken Gjerde Alnäs.
Stina Nilsson finishes third in the total position after the two Norwegians. This during her debut season in Ski Classics, which contained victories in Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet and Marcialonga Bodø
– I’m super happy. I really take these last races with me in my luggage for the next season. The barrier I broke at Vasaloppet is absolutely incredible for me, says Stina Nilsson.

For Ebba Andersson, the fourth guest play was in his career in the Long Race Cup. She has won all the races she has set up-three at the highest PRO level and a competition at the Challenger level.
