Ebba Andersson speaks about his major challenge for Ski Classics

Ebba Andersson is going to go the two closing races in Ski Classics this weekend.
She, on the other hand, stands for a real challenge.
– I’m not trained to stand on start two days in a row in such tough races, she says.

On Saturday and Sunday comes Ebba Andersson27, stand on the starting line again. She has decided to extend the racing season even though the World Cup is over. She is going to run the two closing races in Ski Classics – and go a hot duel toward Stina Nilsson31.

Ebba will compete in ski classics

Despite three World Cup golds in Trondheim, Ebba is not completely measured. She wants to invest further and reap more successes this year.
– I see this as part of my development. Getting to Ski Classics and an environment that I’m not so used to. Running long runs is always a challenge. And when it fit so well with my schedule, I felt I wanted to take the chance, she says during a digital press conference.

She is placed against riders like Stina Nilsson, Astrid Öyre Slind and Victoria Carl.
– I know that I have previously stood well against several long -distance riders, but it is difficult to know. What you have seen from TV looks like the level is gradually moving forward. It will be very exciting regardless, she continues.

Ebba Andersson’s tough task

Ebba admits that she has a difficult task ahead of her. Sunday’s 60-kilometer race will be extra tough. She is not used to competing so intensely two days in a row.
– I am one of the traditional riders who have their strength in longer distances. But I am not trained to stand on start two days in a row in such tough races. That will be what will be my biggest challenge, she says.
