Ebba Andersson’s great success has enabled a completely new type of investment.
But there is one question she refuses to answer.
– I’m not going to sit here and talk about that!, she says in a television interview with Expressen.
Ebba Andersson has long belonged to the absolute top tier among cross-country skiers in the world. But she had found it difficult to take that last step, which really cemented her among the very best in the world. But last winter that changed – to say the least.
The new venture
Ebba Andersson was not only dominant in the World Cup, she also performed when it mattered most. She became the great medal queen in the WC, and the success there allowed her to count on a successful year, where she broke financial personal records, and now enters a new season as the world’s best skier.
The increased income also gives Ebba Andersson a completely different security in investing in sports, and it also gives her new opportunities when it comes to how she sets up her training. Ebba Andersson’s father, for example, has taken a step back in his position at the ski gymnasium.
– He is with me much more, says Ebba Andersson in a television interview with Expressen.

Puts the foot down
It also means that Ebba Andersson pays a salary to her father – but it pays off. Father Per-Ola already took leave before the last WC, and it went well, to say the least – as Ebba went home with two golds.
– Before the WC when dad took a full-time leave of absence to be with me. I know how valuable it was to me. And I want to spin on that, she says.
But there is one question that Ebba Andersson, who usually offers a lot about herself, and a lot of details from her everyday life, refuses to answer. Namely the one about how much she actually pays her father in salary. When Expressen puts the question to the star, she immediately turns her back and puts her foot down.
– But hey, I’m not going to sit and talk about that in an interview! I don’t talk to Gustaf about that. We leave it!, she says.
