Frida Karlsson already sees the end of her skiing career, just 24 years old.
It has also made teammate Ebba Andersson think a lot.
– I absolutely have a plan for my investment, says Ebba to SVT.
That was a month ago Frida Karlsson revealed his most unexpected future announcement. Many raised their eyebrows when the 24-year-old admitted that she can end her skiing career as early as 27 years old, after the World Ski Championships in Falun in 2027.

But Ebba Andersson was not particularly surprised by his teammate’s future plans. She knew Frida’s thoughts very well and has herself begun to think about the end.
– No, but it was no news to me that she still had such thoughts. Where it ends up in the end, it’s not certain. I don’t think she herself knows 100% that it’s her end date either, but that seems to be how she feels now. Then you just have to see where everything takes you, says Ebba to SVT.
– It is clear that people have started to think.

Andersson is currently 26 years old and at the peak of his skiing career. At the last Skiing WC 2023 in Planica, she was crowned WC queen after two gold and two bronze medals.

Last winter, she was also awarded the prestigious Jerring prize at the Sports Gala. A clear proof of the success she has achieved in recent years on the ski slopes and Ebba still feels that she has many years left.
– If I only look back five years, I saw no end. Although you are well aware that I will not last forever. Now, however, people have of course begun to think about when and how and where and for how long. But you’ll see when the time comes and how you feel then, she says in the interview.

But she, on the other hand, has no stated end date like her national team colleague Frida Karlsson seems to have.
– Well, I think that it is so difficult to know what I will want to do in x number of years. Sometimes it’s hard to know what you want to do the next day. So I kind of take it as it comes. But I absolutely have a plan with my investment, I do, she admits to the television channel.
