World Cup leader Jessie Diggins of the United States won the women’s mass start as the World Cup returned to North America for the first time in 20 years.
Ebba Andersson was there right to the end, but could not keep up with the final increase in speed and finished seventh.
The race was to have been run with an individual start, but on Thursday the race organizer was forced to reconsider, due to timing equipment not arriving in time.
