According to the Palestinian official news agency WAFA, Jalal al-Dubeyk, Director of the Al-Najah Al-Watani University Earthquake Center in Nablus, announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was 13 kilometers north of the city of Nablus. Dubeyk stated that the 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in the cities of Jerusalem, Ramallah and Nablus. No statement has been made yet on whether there was any loss of life or property damage due to the earthquake. (AA)
