Earthquake in China – several injured

An earthquake struck eastern China early Sunday. The quake was measured at 5.5 and occurred in the city of Dezhou, about 30 miles south of Beijing.

Over 70 houses are said to have collapsed and around ten people are reported to have been injured, however there are no reports of casualties in the local media.

About 5.6 million people live in and around the city of Dezhou.
