Earth Day Italia 2023 kicks off in Rome tomorrow over

(Finance) – The celebrations on the occasion of theEarth Day Italy 2023, the 53rd World Earth Day, the most important environmental demonstration of the United Nations, which is celebrated around the world on April 22nd. Back after the pandemic break the Village for the Earth, in attendance from the Pincio Terrace and the Villa Borghese Galoppatoio in Rome, with around 600 events (from 21 to 25 April), including shows, talks, stands and workshops for the little ones. Among thousands of children from schools of all levels, many initiatives will take place, below the main ones on Friday 21 April.

The Roar of the Rabbit on the Pincio terrace – From 7.45 to 10.30, the Village for the Earth will start with a special appointment with “Il Ruggito del Coniglio” on Rai Radio 2 with Marco Presta and Antonello Dose, live on radio and TV on digital terrestrial channel 202, in connection from the stage of the Pincio Terrace, giving space to themes on the celebrations of World Earth Day.

The performance of the street artist Moby Dick – Every day from the Terrace of the Pincio it will also be possible to attend the live shows of internationally renowned street artists who will create works of an environmental nature. On 21 and 22 April the artist Moby Dick, who creates works on endangered animals and gives voice to the last ones, will create the “Mural of the 5 Ps: Peace, Prosperity, People, Planet, Partnership” in two days, a work by large dimensions, on a panel three meters high and three and a half meters long. While the international street artist Diego Poggioni will perform live with a work by him on 23, 24 and 25 April.

The Impata talk show for the World Creativity and Innovation Day – World Creativity and Innovation Day will be celebrated at the Village for the Earth. For the occasion, IMPATTA – the Italian think tank on innovability – organizes highly valuable Talk Shows conducted by Annalisa Bruchi and Edoardo Vigna on the splendid Terrace of the Pincio. Participants include: Andrea Montanino, chief economist and director of sector strategies and impact of CDP; Roberta Angelillivice president of the Lazio Region; David D’Arcangelofounder Next4Production; Anna GervasoniGeneral Manager of AIFI – Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt; Matthias MorCEO Emotion Network; Christina Angelillo, president of Innovup; Valeria Maria Faziovice president of Italia Camp, and many others.

SpongeBob at the Children’s Village – Inside the Village, an entire area will be dedicated to children and families with activities and workshops. To animate the Children’s Village there will be the character of SpongeBob, the most loved yellow sponge and protagonist of the homonymous TV series broadcast on Nickelodeon channels, the Paramount brand for children and teenagers, with which it will be possible to take a souvenir photo and get involved in workshops and educational activities on the theme of life under water and a plastic-free future.

Shows at the Planetarium – INAF researchers will guide children and adults through the wonders of our sky, rediscovering those celestial bodies that city lights no longer allow us to observe and showing the latest achievements of modern astrophysics.

The champion Valentina Vezzali at the Sports Village – At the Galoppatoio, in addition to the Children’s, Science and Biodiversity Village, an area will be dedicated to the Sports Village with over 30 sports organized by Federations, Associations and Sports Groups. During the day it is awaited with the Fiamme Oro, Valentina Vezzali, former Olympic and world champion of Italian fencing.

Music and Lights with RDS 100% Greatest Hits, Earth Day 2023 Official Radio – In the evening, starting at 19.00, the Dj Set will be held by RDS 100% official radio hits of Earth Day 2023, while the artist Edward Dionea Cicconi will present his work “AKR”, a monumental public installation which, for one night from the Terrace of the Pincio of Villa Borghese, will illuminate the skies of Rome with a “sculpture of light” that reproduces the true colors of the northern lights. For the occasion, there will also be performances of Live with Studio Legale and Avanzi.
