Fans discuss realism – No differentiation in player ratings
In the FAQ “How will the ratings work?” EA explains that all players are put in relation to the players and receive their ratings from the kick-off mode in Ultimate Team as well. This means a player with an overall rating of 85 will play like a player with an overall rating of 85.
In the subreddit for the new game, this causes discussions. A thread with more than 1,000 comments deals with the innovations that are hotly debated there. (Status: 14.07., 2:00 p.m.)
Players as strong as players – is that still realistic? Votes against the implementation of women in Ultimate Team completely deny the realism of the new soccer simulation game. “The BizarreCommunity” summarizes his displeasure at the lack of realism in a comment: “It has nothing to do with real football anymore, it’s just Fortnite with balls.” (via reddit.com)
Or do the women play themselves even better because of their body types? Reddit user “shakeer13” draws on his experience from countless games in pro clubs and suspects that the women’s body model could become the new meta in EA Sports FC 24 because they are much more agile and agile than the men – a combination that has traditionally been strong in FIFA. Are there dissenting votes? Definitely: “Isit 77” sees the addition of players to Ultimate Team as a huge opportunity to make women’s football and their idols better known. He adds the example that no 15-year-old would know Eusebio or Socrates if they weren’t icons in Ultimate Team. (via reddit.com)
Many agree: realism is not a priority
Many users try to take the wind out of the sails of the debate, arguing that EA Sports FC is a video game and that realism does not necessarily have to be the top priority. As LN-14 writes: It’s funny how people get upset about it like Ultimate Team was ever realistic. (via reddit.com)
User “Black_n_Neon” takes the same line and comments: “I don’t want to hear any of you talking about the topic of realism while you play Cech as a forward.” (via reddit.com) Here we are talking about the shapeshifter map of Icon Petr Cech, who received an OP Striker card during the event and was found on many teams.
A controversial topic. It remains exciting to see whether the fears of some users will come true. At the latest when EA Sports FC starts on September 29th, we will know more.
