EA FC 25: Hire German commentators

In EA FC 25, the new German commentators must first be hired. You can find out how this works here on MeinMMO.

Anyone who has already started Early Access with EA FC 25 and started their first match will have been quite surprised when English commentators started chatting away at the beginning of the game.

A strange change, because in previous years German players were always greeted by Frank Buschmann and Wolff Fuss as soon as they started their first game.

But don’t worry: EA FC 25 also has German commentators and even brand new ones with Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld (Sky) and Jan Platte (DAZN). However, these must first be activated manually and downloaded as a language pack. We’ll show you how to do this.

EA FC 25: Enable German commentators

Here’s how: To finally hear the new German speakers during gameplay, you have to do the following.

  • In the main menu, click on the gear wheel at the top left.
  • Then go to “Settings” and then “Game Settings”.
  • Use R1 to navigate to “Audio”.
  • And under the item “11-GG.-11-Audio” set the “commentator language” to German.
  • If you now exit the menu, a message pops up asking you to download the comment language. Confirm this by clicking on “Download”.
  • You will now come to a PlayStation menu where you have to confirm the download again.

    • Once the package is fully loaded, you will immediately hear German commentators in the next game.

    Who are the successors to Frank Buschmann and Wolff Fuss? The two newcomers are Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld (Schmiso) and Jan Platte.

    While Schmiso is mainly active in the Bundesliga matchday conferences and for the English Premier League on Sky, Jan Platte is active at DAZN on big Champions League evenings and for the Spanish LaLiga.

    Both can already look back on 7 and 8 years of professional experience as commentators for their employers.
