EA FC 25 is now officially released. But in addition to the modern CurrentGen consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series S and X, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are also served. But where are the differences?
After the FIFA series in its last years on the Nintendo Switch always received a slimmed down “legacy” version that was identical to previous years and only had the squads adjusted, this changed last year with the release of EA FC 24 changed.
Although the Switch version of FC 24 did not have all the innovations, it did offer a big improvement over its predecessor FIFA 23. Especially due to the switch to the Frostbite Engine.
And what about the PS4 version of FC 25 this year? We’ll show you that in this post.
By the way, we’ll show you how the Ultimate Edition and the Standard Edition differ here:

This is what it looks like with the Switch version: Like last year, the Switch version of EA FC 25 received more love than in previous FIFA years. The modes are identical to the PlayStation 5 version modes. The new Rush mode even makes it to the Switch, Ultimate Team returns and FC IQ comes along with all its tactical innovations.
However, what is missing is:
Although the Switch version lacks some features, it also has a few unique functions. These would be, among others:
All in all, you can say that the Switch version of FC 25 has a lot to offer. Especially when you consider that the console didn’t exactly have the latest technology to offer 7 years ago. You hardly have to make any compromises in terms of content. The Switch version is just not up to date in terms of gameplay and graphics.
This is what it looks like with the PS4 version: The PS4 and Xbox One versions of EA FC 25 do not differ in content from the most modern versions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game modes are identical and rush mode and FC IQ have also made it into the game.
But you have to make compromises. PS5 and Xbox Series have more to offer, especially graphically. In addition, there is still no trace of the HyperMotion technology, which can only be admired on PS5 and Xbox Series.
