Two passenger cars have collided on the E18 at the height of Ölme between Kristinehamn and Karlstad, write P4 Värmland.
Seven people are involved in the accident, according to SOS Alarm.
On the Swedish Transport Administration’s website it says that the emergency services are on site.
The forecast is set for 16:45, but they write that the forecast is preliminary.

“Unfortunately, the first reports indicate that no one on board has survived,” writes local governor Edurado Leite on X.
The plane crashed in an area with several shops.
According to authorities in Rio Grande do Sul, the plane first hit a chimney, then the second floor of a residence, before crashing into a furniture store.
15 people on the ground have been taken to hospital, most of them for inhaling smoke from the fire that started when the plane crashed.

Hamas has agreed to release 11 young men hostage in the first part of a possible ceasefire agreement, according to media reports.
In exchange, Hamas will receive a “special value”, writes the newspaper Haaretz and refers to information in the Egyptian television channel Al-Ghad. The details of what it might be about are still unknown.
An Israeli official tells The Times of Israel that Hamas has provided evidence that several hostages are alive. Israel is said to know where most of the hostages are, but the newspaper’s source does not want to say whether Hamas has provided a list of which hostages are still alive.

Raped a young woman – the punishment is toughened
The Court of Appeal toughens the sentence for an 18-year-old man who was convicted of, among other things, rape and serious assault against a young woman in Motala, reports P4 Östergötland.
The penalty is increased from four years to eight years in prison since the Court of Appeal has determined that it is serious rape. The amount of damages is also increased to just over SEK 600,000.
A 14-year-old boy is also judged to be guilty of the crimes, but due to his age he cannot be punished. However, he must pay close to SEK 350,000 of the damages to the victim in solidarity with the 18-year-old.
The abuse happened last summer. The young woman was also burned with cigarettes and cut with a knife.

Cyclone Chido kills at least 94 in Mozambique
At least 94 people have died in Mozambique as a result of Cyclone Chido’s advance, the country’s disaster authority announced on Sunday.
The cyclone, which hit parts of the country with wind gusts of around 72 meters per second and 25 millimeters of rain in one day, has destroyed 110,000 homes in the country.
Over 500,000 of the 620,000 Mozambicans affected by the storm are in the province of Cabo Delgado.

– Due to strong winds and airspace restrictions, a small number of flights have been canceled today. We know how important it is to travel at this time of year and have extra staff to ensure that people get away, says a spokesperson for Heathrow according to Dagbladet.
Wind gusts of up to 33 meters per second are being reported in the London area and a yellow gale warning has been issued for large parts of the UK.
– We urge people to check with their airline if their flight is on time, says the spokesperson.

A person has been hit on the old E6 in central Ljungskile.
Ambulance, emergency services and police work at the scene. The damage is described as serious.
– It is the entrance to the center of Ljungskile. What happened is unknown. But it has happened at an intersection, a person has walked out into the road and been hit, says Ulrik Olsson, officer on duty at the rescue service in northern Älvsborg.
– They are working with the patient there. The situation is serious, he continues.

Following a police operation on the train tracks between Gothenburg and Alingsås, there is some delay in train traffic, SJ states.

A thousand far-right demonstrators gathered in Magdeburg on Saturday night to protest as a result of the deadly attack on the Christmas market last Friday, writes Independent.
The crowd held up a banner with the word “remigration”, and flags with the symbol of the neo-Nazi NPD (National Democratic Party of Germany).
Although German authorities have communicated that the suspected killer, Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, is an atheist and a critic of Islam, right-wing populist groups have quickly capitalized on the act and spread claims that the attack had Islamist motives.
