As Dynamo on campus celebrates its fourth Finnish futsal championship, the extensive career of Finnish futsal Pioneer Panu Autio ended with a silver celebration.

Jyväskylä-based Campus Dynamo won the Espoo-based GFT away 4–2 and took the Finnish championship straight with a win of 3–0. At the same time, the Finnish futsal Pioneer and the sporting legend ended Panu Aution career. The GFT captain handed out silver medals to his teammates with long hugs.
– It’s empty now. Hard to find words. I’m damn proud of our team, this spring, this season. So much emotion, so long career behind. I had a dream that I could end my career to victory, but KaDy was clearly better this spring and deserved his championship, Autio said.
KaDy had a strong grip in all three finals. In the third match, it went 1-0 in 6.24 when Italo Henrique Macedo Basilion that is, “Bobin” ‘s accurate shot passed the GFT goalkeeper Antti Koivumäki.
GFT: n Henri Alamikkotervo raised the home team to the levels of 13.50, but the joy of GFT lasted only a short time. Just under a minute later, KaDy got a spot and Bob finished hot 2-1.
In the second half, KaDy was already in the lead with a 3-1 lead Sergei Korsunov hit that from around 35 yards out by Henri Alamikkotervo and couldn’t do anything about, dipping and swerving, it did him all ends up. GFT still leveled the goalkeeper without a goalkeeper, but failed here. Instead Lassi Lintula got to finish the fourth hit on an empty goal.
The championship was already the fourth for KaDy in club history, as it has also won championships in the seasons 2017–18, 2018–19 and 2020–21. No SM medals were awarded in the 2019–20 season.
– We really grew up during these players and we were in this final series right now. In that mind, a successful finale for our long season, the KaDy icon and captain Mikko Kytölä said.
According to Kytölä, both semi-final resistance Akaa Futsal and semi-final resistance Riemu prepared the team well for the finals and the game fell into place. This time, the team was also allowed to play without major injury concerns.
The GFT guard played with a head wrap and swabs in the nose
The goalkeepers of both teams stretched to the top defenses in the match. KaDyn Juha-Matti Savolainen saved many clear goals and was rightly awarded as the best player on his team.
GFT’s Koivumäki was a disappointment, however. He was injured after just over four minutes of play when he fought back Jukka Kytölän bet and put his head on the goal post. Koivumäki had to be patched for several minutes. In the second half, Koivumäki got a splash in his nose and had to play the rest of the time in his nose.
KaDy’s head coach Vasko Vujovic was proud of his team’s work ethic, which has been tough throughout the season.
– As I said to my players: the champions will not be made the night before the finals. We have been working a lot for ten months. The finals looked easy, but the matches are never easy. We were more experienced finalists, Vujovic said.
According to him, KaDy’s secret lies in the work culture found in the Jyväskylä Society. It has brought the club to this point.
I also agree Jani Korpelawho arrived at KaDyy in the middle of the season from the Russian league after Russia invaded Ukraine.
– Yes, there were a bit of conflicting feelings about it, but there was a pretty good ending to this season. At KaDy, coaching, backgrounds and players and the whole thing works so well that it was easy to come back, Korpela said.
Futsal Aution has been a passion for twenty years
Panu Autio hugged both his own players and his opponents after the match. His journey in the Finnish main series, which began in 2003, ended in silver. However, the Finnish championships in 2008 and 2009 and 16 years in the national team remained in his pocket.
– It was fantastic that I got to experience stuff like that. We had a long-standing dream of the value games and with the national team we got to experience it at the European Championships, and played well there, Autio said.
– Then we got to play in the finals with GFT and through all the difficulties I got myself fit today, I am extremely grateful to be able to live like this.
Suffering from a foot injury during the finals, Autio gave his thanks above all to his wife, who has made it possible for her to focus on playing herself.
Deserted admitted that he is most missed by the feeling in the locker room, the communality and the collectivity. Even though he sometimes played his mouth on the playing field or did something stupid, he was still able to live there like in another world.
– The flow state and feeling you got to experience. No such cakes can be found anywhere else, Autio said and said futsal has been his passion and a big part of life for the last twenty years.
– Usually in life the more you give to something, the more it gives back. In a way, it has made me the kind of person I am and am happy that in time I got to know, fall in love and fall in love with the futsal and that love has taken me away.
The desert believes that it will continue to be busy with the species, as long as it first takes some time to get oxygen.
