You’ll soon be able to take part in Dynamax battles in Pokémon GO. The first trainers are reporting that some parts of the feature have already been unlocked for them.
What kind of feature is this? Dynamax is the new big feature that is already available in the main games and will now also be unlocked in Pokémon GO in the new season.
While the event corresponding to the feature starts on September 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. and unlocks the Dynamax battles, the first trainers on Reddit are reporting that individual functions of the new feature are already active for them.

Preparing for Dynamax Battles
Power Spots and Max Particles: Perhaps the most important features, which are already active for some trainers, are the Power Spots and the Max Particles. The Power Spots are spots that appear separately from PokéStops and Gyms.
To get the Max Particles you need to challenge Dynamax Raids and also to strengthen Dynamax attacks, you can visit the Power Spots. You can also get the particles by walking 2 km each time.

The author of the post also reports that there are 120 particles per power spot. Each spot can be visited once per day.
It is therefore already possible to collect the particles from these trainers in order to be prepared for the start of Dynamax Battles on September 10th.
Dynamax attacks: The special research, in which you can get your first Dynamax Pokémon, is already active for trainers. Since the first trainers have already completed this special research, there are also the first pictures of the Dynamax attacks.
There are 3 Dynamax attacks. The first deals damage, the second reduces the damage of the opposing raid boss, and the third heals the Pokémon of the trainers participating in the raid.
While the first attack is already unlocked for catching the Pokémon, unlocking the other two attacks costs 400 particles and 50 candies of the Pokémon each.
To increase the attacks to the maximum level 3, an additional 1,400 particles, 100 candies and 40 XL candies of the Pokémon are required.

For which trainers has the feature already been activated? According to user comments on Reddit, the trainers where the feature is already enabled are in New Zealand and Australia.
This fits with Niantic’s typical strategy for rolling out new features in Pokémon GO. These are usually unlocked there first and then gradually in the rest of the world.
When will the feature be unlocked for all trainers? It is not yet clear when the feature will be activated for the rest of the world, including here. As soon as the function is activated, we will add this information to the article.
