Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel offers himself a second Tour of Flanders

Already winner in 2020 of the Belgian “Monument”, Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) won the Tour of Flanders again, Sunday April 3. The 27-year-old Dutchman won this 106th edition ahead of his compatriot Dylan van Baarle (Ineos) and the Frenchman Valentin Madouas (Groupama-FDJ). Slovenian Tadej Pogacar ranked fourth at the end of this 273 kilometer race. Mathieu van der Poel, grandson of Raymond Poulidor, also has four cyclo-cross world champion titles (2015, 2019, 2020 and 2021).
