Armand Duplantis secured his second straight WC gold in pole vault. He took home the title after going clear over the 6.05 he cleared in his first attempt.
It looked like Duplantis would clear the gold height of 6.00 but Ernest John Obiena cleared it on his second attempt after touching his personal record.
Duplantis won in 6.10 in the duel with Obiena and then tried to improve his own world record to 6.23 with three attempts.
He thanked the audience and then a hug party and a large gathering of press photographers awaited.
