Duo charged amid large fentanyl bust Sarnia police

A 25-year-old Petrolia man and a 39-year-old Dresden woman have both been arrested and charged with drug trafficking, Sarnia police say.

The force’s vice unit pulled a vehicle over Wednesday after watching suspects they believed to be selling cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine. Two people were arrested and police found about $1,500 in cash, four large dime bags, and a digital scale. Back at headquarters, police found nearly 30 grams of blue and purple fentanyl, about 10 grams of blue fentanyl, almost 20 grams of cocaine, and more than six grams of crystal meth.

The next day, police raided a Petrolia Line home with a search warrant and found almost four grams of crystal meth, nearly one gram of crack cocaine, and firearms ammunition.

Nicholas Edward Bailey, 25, from Petrolia and Caylie Rhianno White, 39, from Dresden were both charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine, police said. Bailey was also charged with two counts of breaching his release order.

They were both held in custody pending future court dates.

Bailey was released last month on a $20,000 bail plan featuring strict terms, including house arrest at his father’s Petrolia home, after serving a six-month jail sentence for selling cocaine and meth from a Sarnia house. But the latest charges haven’t been tested in court.
