“Dune Prophecy” is an HBO series about the mysterious Bene Gesserit sisterhood, previously seen in the novel Dune.

Dune Prophecy is a science fiction TV series that will be broadcast on the platform streaming Max (formerly HBO Max). This is the adaptation of the novel The Community of Sisters (2012), written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the first book in the series Dune, the origins. It is therefore not a work adapting novels by Frank Herbert himself.

Prequel to the film by Denis Villeneuvethe story of Dune Prophecy takes place 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides. The six-episode series will follow the Harkonnen sisters as they fight against the forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish a sisterhood known as the Bene Gesserit. Max announced that the series Dune Prophecy will ultimately not be released until November 2024. You can watch the trailer, released this Thursday, July 18, below.

Dune Prophecythe spin-off of the film Duneset 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ odyssey, tells the story of the Harkonnen sisters, members of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, a mysterious organization that wields political and religious influence in the society of the Imperium in pursuit of its own goals. Certain imbroglios will lead the members of this group of women, who train their Sisters to master ancient physical and psychic abilities in order to influence the course of events, to the enigmatic planet of Dune.

Dune Prophecy will be available in November 2024 on the new Max streaming platform, resulting from the merger between HBO Max and Discovery +. Available in France, a subscription is required to access its content. Prices vary between 5.99 euros per month and 13.99 euros per month depending on the package chosen.
