During the trial, the defense told that Lennart Dybeck and his company did not receive the 1.4 million kroner that he was supposed to be paid. After not being able to get in touch with the commissioning company Transtema for a while, he felt he needed to do something drastic and therefore dug up fiber cables at four locations.
The district court finds that it was vandalism and sentences him to 140 hours of community service.
– I am very disappointed with the result but accept the Swedish legal system, says Lennart Dybeck.
He tells SVT Nyheter Örebro that he might appeal the verdict.
