“I am very proud of both myself and Mazy, that we have managed to hold together two such good rides at our first major championship,” she says, according to the Swedish Equestrian Association.
The 34-year-old advanced earlier this week from qualifying to the decisive World Cup final with 69.876 points, placing her as the tenth best rider,
76.118 during the night before Easter, Swedish time, was enough for eighth place, and the percentage figure is her third best result to date. The only notable miss was a canter strike in one trot increase.
The crew rode to music from the Irish musical production “Lord of the dance”.
“I’m much more satisfied with the feeling today. Mazy was really on g, but she was still with me,” says Due-Boje.
Confederation captain Bo Jenå is “very pleased”.
“She is completely cruel on the track. She has a very good focus. It is a very, very good ride,” he tells the equestrian association.
Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl won on 90.482 percent, followed by Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald and Germany’s Isabell Werth.
