(Finance) – Take the first steps into the world of work right away and develop a practical and in-depth understanding of the processes and technologies that distinguish a highly competitive and dynamic sector such as the energy industry: these are the premises of the experimental program of the dual apprenticeship of higher education and research fruit of an agreement signed byUniversity of L’Aquila with Enel.
The memorandum of understanding provides the hiring of 15 male and female students of the second year of the master’s degree course in Electrical Engineering. Newly hired men and women will have the opportunity to alternate university lessons and study with technical-professional training in the company, thanks to a stimulating and innovative path. The first edition of the apprenticeship started in September 2023. The second edition is planned for the next academic year – 2024/2025.
Applications can be submitted starting today, Friday 3 May 2024 and until 30 June 2024 by male and female students enrolled in the master’s degree course in Electrical Engineering, aged no more than 29 years, in the manner indicated in the relevant announcement. Selected candidates will be offered an integrated curriculum which, in addition to offering the consolidated training in Electrical Engineering provided for over 50 years by the L’Aquila university, will be enriched with further content defined and developed jointly by the University and Enel. Notions that respond to the current needs of the productive world, linked to the phase of energy transition and technological and digital transformation of work processes, in particular for activities relating to electricity networks.
The integration between classroom learning and work experience will be supported and promoted for each ‘student-apprentice’ by a company tutor and a university tutor. The Higher Education and Research Apprenticeship contract will start in September 2024 and will end with the achievement of the master’s degree in Electrical Engineering within the statutory duration of the study course and in any case no later than the end of April 2026. The program is part of within the regulatory framework defined with the trade union agreement of 10 May 2021 on higher education and research apprenticeships aimed at university level courses (bachelor’s degree, ITS, master’s degree, master’s and doctorate).
The initiative aims to go beyond the simple transmission of new skillsto be configured as an innovative and stimulating study path, where the acquisition of knowledge is accompanied by orientation and professional placement to trigger a new awareness in young people about the countless opportunities offered by the energy sector.
