DS draws attention with its sales success in Turkey


Having quadrupled its sales in Turkey in the first quarter of 2023, the French manufacturer DS stepped up to respond to user demands.

In recent years, the diversity in the Turkish market and the increasing user demand in parallel help us to see new faces more on the streets. After the Peugeot era, the French manufacturer DS, which continued as a brand on its own within the group, is one of them. Being one of the premium manufacturers of the group, the brand continues to reflect its rising sales graphic to its sales figures. Gaining great momentum in March, DS announced that it had quadrupled its sales in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of 2022. In this context, Türkiye sales reached a total of 717 units. Increasing its share in the premium segment by 257 percent with increasing sales figures, the brand also increased its market share from 1.6 percent to 4.1 percent.

The SUV model “7”, which played an active role in the brand’s achievement of these results, enabled it to increase its sales figure from 134 units as DS 7 CROSSBACK in the first quarter of last year to 546 units with an increase of over 400 percent in the same period of 2023. With these results, the share of the new DS 7 in its segment seems to have increased from 4.7 percent to 15.6 percent. Making statements about the process they are in, DS Turkey General Manager Selim Eskinazi clearly states that they are gearing up to catch up with customer demands.

Saying that they made a total of 179 sales in the first quarter of last year, Selim Eskinazi said; “The new DS 7, which we introduced at the end of 2022, continues to make a significant contribution to our sales. We have reached approximately 55 percent of the DS 7 CROSSBACK sold last year in the first quarter. In the first quarter of 2023, we sold 546 new DS 7 units. While the total passenger car market reached 175 thousand 421 units in the first quarter of this year, 116 thousand 834 vehicles were sold in the same period of 2022.

Among the sales in the first quarter of last year, 11 thousand 167 units were premium cars. In the same period of this year, premium automobile sales reached 17,404 units.
