A 55-year-old doctor is suspected of having prescribed narcotic preparations for payment. Now he is charged with serious drug offences, serious accounting offences, and accepting bribes, reports SVT Nyheter Stockholm.

According to the indictment, the Stockholm doctor is said to have been bribed by two people, among other things, to prescribe the medicine Genotropin, which is given to short people but is also used by bodybuilders to build muscle.

The two people, who have connections to the gang criminal environment in Södertälje, are charged with bribery. In addition, two of the doctor’s patients are charged with serious drug offenses and drug offenses.

The Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo) has previously demanded that his right to prescribe be tested after going through a number of patient records.
