A boy has died after drowning in a pool area in Malmö.
The police are now investigating the incident as causing the death of another.
At 15.44 an alarm was received about a drowning at Segevångsbadet in Malmö. A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance escorted by police.
– It was done simply because the patient needed to be treated as soon as possible, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police.
But his life could not be saved.

The police are now investigating the incident as causing the death of another.
– The purpose of the investigation is to look at all parts and investigate what has happened. If there is a relative or someone from the staff who has failed in their responsibility, says Rickard Lundqvist.
– But I want to be clear that no one has been served with suspicion.
He does not want to go into whether the boy was alive when he was taken to the hospital for privacy reasons.
– But I can say this: If a person is found in a public place, all necessary measures are taken. There is no authority to call off the bet, especially when it comes to children. You give everything, says Rickard Lundqvist.
Relatives have been notified.
