Born in Holon, Dror Mishani teaches the history of the detective novel and Israeli literature at the University of Tel-Aviv. After having been a literary critic and editor, he is the author of several black novels, most of them with his recurring character Avraham, an Israeli policeman who makes his return in “A simple investigator”.
