Sarnia Police Officers Were Walking Back To Their Marked Cruisers, Which Were Running With Lights On, Parked On The Shoulder of Old Lakeshore Road On Nov. 15 Around 1:30 AM When A Vehicle Heading West Unexpectedly Veered Off The Road and Headed Toward the Grass Standing, Police Said at the Time.

“Both office attempted to move out of the path of the vehicle, However One Officer Was Struck by the Oncoming Vehicle. He was thrown backward from the impact, Landing on the front Lawn A significant Away Away,” Police Said at the time.

Other Officers On Scene Gave Him First-Aid Until Paramedics Arrived and Took Him to Hospital.

He suffered injuries included “Cuts to his head, scrapes, and extensive bruising to his hip and leg. At this time he is expected to make a full recovery,” Police Said then.

Sarnia Police Chief Derek Davis Took to Social Media to Thank Sarnia Firefighters and Lambton Paramedics for Their Quick Actions in Helping the Injured Officer.

“We Appreciate Their Support and Professional Services in Such A Difficult Circumstance for Our Team,” He Wrote.

Police also Issued A Photo of A Gray or Silver Car with significant front-end damage.

Old Lakeshore Road was closed for Several Hours for Investigators to do a collision reconstruction and forensic identification. It reopened shortly before 10 am the same day, police said.

“I have instructions from ms. Mulpuru that (Those Charges) can be withdrawn,” Assistant Crown Attorney Aniko Coughlan Confirmed.
