The idea for a national conference on fires came from the Rescue Service in Jämtland, even before the big forest fire summer of 2018.
After the forest fire summer, they had a series of experiences that could be shared with others, but then the corona pandemic came.
Forest Fire 2024 is the second national forest fire conference to be held. It is held on Frösön and the organizer is the Rescue Service in Jämtland together with MSB.
The conference is aimed at rescue services, municipalities, county administrations, forest companies, forest contractors, the Norwegian Forestry Agency and other authorities and actors.
