“Increased demand for surveys”
– The development in which more and more children and young people are being diagnosed has led to an increased demand for examinations and medical certificates for examination of driver’s license status,” says the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Andreas Carlson in one press release.
The Swedish Transport Agency is tasked with specifically investigating whether it is possible to “remove or simplify the procedure with a medical certificate for mild or moderate ADHD and autism spectrum disorder grade 1 when examining driving license conditions”.
No later than 19 June next year, the Swedish Transport Agency must submit an interim report. The assignment must be completed by September 30, 2025 at the latest.
