The 27-year-old St. Thomas driver of a vehicle that police say went over Hawk Cliff on Lake Erie is being treated for serious injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.

Emergency crews responded to a call about 6 pm Tuesday at the end of Hawk Cliff Road in Central Elgin, east of Port Stanley, where a vehicle had gone over the embankment to the base of the lake, police say.
Central Elgin fire and emergency services rescued the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. Ornge, the provincial air ambulance service, helped in the transfer to hospital.
Hawks Cliff Road remained closed Wednesday morning while the investigation continued and the vehicle was recovered.
“Police are reminding the public that individuals in crisis are not alone,” the OPP said in a statement. “If you, or someone you know, needs support, there are local resources available to help.”

Six charged, including wanted man, in London gun and drugs raid
A man wanted by Toronto police is among six people facing charges after London police seized a loaded handgun and more than $100,000 worth of drugs from an east-end home.
London police, including tactical officers, raided a house on near Manitoulin Drive and Fairmont Avenue, northeast of Highbury Avenue and Hamilton Road, on Friday after Toronto police asked for help to locate a man wanted in Toronto on suspicion of robbery and gun-related offenses .
Police arrested the wanted man and several other people, seizing a loaded handgun, suspected fentanyl, suspected cocaine, suspected crack, prescription pills and $15,300 cash, police said, estimating the street value of the drugs at $106,000.
Two Toronto men, 26 and 28, a Brampton man, 23, a London man and woman, 41 and 31, are charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and gun-related offenses. A London woman, 33, is also charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
