Driver killed in single-vehicle collision outside Waterford

Norfolk OPP are investigating after a 48-year-old Haldimand County resident was killed in a single-vehicle collision on the outskirts of Waterford on Tuesday morning.

Police and Norfolk County Paramedic Services were called to the crash on Lutesville Road at about 7:30 a.m.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lutesville Road between Old Highway 24 and Angling Road is expected to remain closed for the next several hours. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and plan alternate routes.
