Province of Utrecht – Drinking water company Vitens is increasing the price of water from the tap. From next year, the price will increase by 1.60 euros per month, which amounts to almost 20 euros per year. For a family with average consumption, this means a price increase of 10 percent. The water company, which supplies drinking water in Utrecht and four other provinces, says it has to increase the price due to rising costs and inflation.
