But that’s not all, Quantic Dream would also be working on its first mobile game, titled Spellcaster, which would be a card game whose development would have started in 2019 with the Unity engine. Given the affiliation with NetEase, it is quite logical to see Quantic Dream embarking on the production of mobile games. A small team from the Parisian team would have been assigned to this project. As for Star Wars Eclipe, AccountNGT also provides some interesting details. If the production lead would be provided by Quantic Dream Montreal, particularly in terms of gameplay, level design and multiplayer, the Parisian studio would also participate in the development. David Cage’s team would develop the story (which is still in writing), the cutscenes, the level-arts but also the 3D engine; presumably because it would use a proprietary engine. All the competitive part of the multiplayer mode would also be managed in Paris, knowing that the development would experience some small complications due to its structure, an open world, and that this is a first for Quantic Dream.
– Quantic Dream Paris is working on cinematics, story, level art, engine…
– Multiplayer Elements (Competitive)
– Very (very) ambitious and original project
– Development started early 2021

In terms of inspiration, this Star War Eclipse would offer fairly classic action sequences and the example taken internally would be the recent Jedi Fallen Order, while The Last of Us would be a source of inspiration for the narration, with a nice mix between kinematics and gameplay to advance the story. AccountNGT also specifies that Quantic Dream Montreal would have some problems hiring staff, but that this would have no connection with the legal setbacks that the studio has experienced in recent years, knowing that Quantic Dream’s honor has been washed in the meantime. . We remain attentive to the next leaks of course; unless we try to send a drone to spy on the studio, which isn’t very far from us…
