DRC: Tribute paid in Goma to 200 people who died in displaced persons camps

In the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, at least two hundred bodies of displaced people who died of famine and disease in camps around Goma were buried on Monday, September 2. A tribute ceremony was organized by the Congolese authorities at the Stade de l’Unité in the heart of the city.
