In the east of the DRC, the city of Goma received the first candidate in the running for the presidential election on December 20. The former governor of Katanga, Moise Katumbi was in a meeting at the Afya stadium this Thursday and therefore officially opened the presidential campaign in the capital of North Kivu, a province destabilized by the rebellion of the March 23 Movement (M23) which is fighting the government troops since the end of 2021.
