In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), fighting between the DRC army and members of the M23, an armed group supported by Rwanda, is still raging in the surroundings of Goma, the provincial capital of North Kivu. Thirteen soldiers, deployed within international forces, were killed in the clashes. An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, scheduled for tomorrow, has been brought forward to this Sunday, January 26.
